Australasia and the surrounding Pacific region contain some of the most exciting and untouched cruising areas in the world. Sydneys beautiful harbour and surrounding areas are close to one of the worlds great cities with every modern facility and convenience. A short cruise in Sydney and its surrounding waterways is the closest that Australia offers to traditional Mediterranean or Caribbean cruising, but with magnificent beaches and a cosmopolitan, new world atmosphere.
Further afield, the Whitsunday islands and other islands towards the north offer a mixture of deserted beaches, coral reefs and luxury holiday resorts where you can spend one night anchored next to a remote sand cay and the next night dancing until dawn at a top international resort.
Venture further afield again, and you enter areas that are unique in the world. The Great Barrier Reef, stretching for 2,300 km into the tropics, is a collection of islands, cays and some of the most beautiful coral reefs to be found anywhere. The diving, fishing and general exploring are without equal and it is not uncommon to find areas where you will not see another boat or person for a week or more.
Outside Atlantic Princess traditional cruising areas of Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef, cruises to other Australasian and Pacific locations such as New Zealand, Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu can be organized. Talk to us about your preferences and we will do our best to tailor an itinerary to your exact requirements.
